INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS INSTITUTE
International
Business Institute (IBI)
began as a business education program under ESEC in China in 1985 as the
Institute of International Trade. The name was changed to the
International Business Institute
in 2000. Over 225 business teachers have been sent to China by ESEC to
participate in the business program. Over 10,000 Chinese students have
completed the business course and been awarded the ESEC Certificate in
International Business. The International
Business Institute
offers the Business Program to prepare students for key
positions in International Business.
The
IBI program places
emphasis
on
Marketing,
Management, Cross Cultural
Communications and
the
improvement of oral English skills.
The curriculum focuses on the needs of students to understand the
relationship between
marketing, management and culture. The program covers the most important
topics for success in the international
management and marketing
environment, and
the
students get real experience
with a business plan project. The program is taught entirely in
English. Students that have passed the National English Test Band 4,
exhibited good oral and written
English skills, and are in their second or third year of
college are eligible for the program.
